Pete McDonald’s primary role with the Land Conservancy is to ensure that the permanent restrictions used to protect properties throughout the region are upheld in perpetuity. Providing leadership to a team of four staff members, Pete also manages the Land Conservancy’s signature parks and preserves program and develops partnerships to advance habitat and species-specific management projects.
Pete joined the Land Conservancy’s stewardship department in 2005 and became the Director of Stewardship in 2009. He grew up on a 450 acre diversified farm and graduated from the College of Wooster with a degree in biology.
