#Trees4CLE | Adopt a free tree for your yard this fall!

October 1 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am

Registration for our Fall 2022 Trees4CLE Tree Adoption event is live! We will be giving away 180 trees to Cleveland residents!

Sign up HERE to apply.

Our vision is to increase the city of Cleveland’s tree canopy along with the social, economic, and environmental benefits that it provides. A desirable urban tree canopy is 40%, and Cleveland’s is at 19%.

70-80% of Cleveland’s tree canopy potential is on private property.  Our Trees4CLE Tree Adoption program enables us to generate a huge impact on our city’s reforestation efforts by helping Clevelander’s plant just 1-2 trees in their yard. These adoption events have connected over 1,200 trees to Clevelander’s throughout the city— putting the future of Cleveland in your hands.

Are you eligible?

  • Trees must be planted within the City of Cleveland
  • Trees must be planted on private property in front, side or back yards (trees may not be planted in containers or in the tree lawn)

Available Trees

We will be offering a variety of trees ranging from small to large with native, deciduous, and evergreen species available. When choosing a tree, you should consider the space that you have in your yard for the roots and branches, as well as the amount of sunlight your space is exposed to.
