Jason White will headline ‘Conservation Rocks’ on May 22 at Beachland
Jason White, the singer-songwriter who became a mainstay on the Cleveland music scene with his popular 1980s band the Janglers, returns home May 22 to headline “Conservation Rocks”, a performance at the Beachland Ballroom benefiting the nonprofit Western Reserve Land Conservancy. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the concert starts at 7:30 p.m. The two opening acts are The Swamp Rattlers and Pete McDonald. Tickets, which can be purchased at www.beachlandballroom.com, are $15 in advance and $20 the day of the show.
Beachland Ballroom is at 15711 Waterloo Road, Cleveland. White, a Cleveland native who now lives in Nashville, showed his flair for gritty storytelling on his debut album, “Shades of Gray”. Tim McGraw picked up one of the songs from that album, “Red Ragtop”, and made it into a hit. White’s new album, “The Longing”, is due out this spring. Western Reserve Land Conservancy works to preserve the scenic beauty, rural character and natural resources of northern Ohio. The Land Conservancy has preserved more than 330 properties and more than 21,400 acres – an area 50 percent larger than the borough of Manhattan.
